UK Driver Familiarisation Courses

(how to stay on the left side of the road and the right side of the law)

This course includes license and eye-sight checks, and covers the driver's legal obligations regarding insurances and vehicle road-worthiness. During the training the driver experiences a variety of road-types, e.g. motorways, dual-carriageways, cross-country routes, and environments e.g. towns and villages

You don't need to be taught how to drive again, you don't want to be patronised in the process, we at Aspect Driver Training will give a comprehensive three-hour or five-hour, individually tailored driving package which includes:

• Theory (all in-car) of driving in the UK.
• Urban driving including roundabouts, traffic lights, one-way systems pedestrian crossings and priorities etc.
• Rural driving to incorporate Motorways, dual-carriage ways and single carriage ways.

We won't teach you to:

• Reverse round left corners
• Practice Emergency Stop
• Do Three-Point Turns!

UK DRIVING LICENCE PACKAGE

If you have a foreign driving license and are planning on spending more than 185 days in the UK, you will need to sit the UK Driving test if you wish to be allowed to drive throughout your stay. Aspect Driver Training offers a complete course for passing the test required to obtain a full British driving license. The basic package is a ten hour course to encompass the following:

Licence check

• Eye sight test to the required standard (read a standard number plate at 20.5m)
• Urban driving, including traffic lights, roundabouts, one-way systems and pedestrian crossings.
• Rural driving including single and dual carriageways (motorways not a requirement for the British test), country roads and lanes and linking of a series of bends.
• Set manoeuvres including turn in the road, reverse round a corner, reverse park and emergency stop.

This package is flexible depending on the experience and skill of the driver.
